A Man & His Hair----- Strange Acquaintances!

Men and their hair represent a really funny/strange relationship. When I went to a recent high school reunion, the one thing many of my male friends from high school said was, "Damn, Dennis. You kept that head of hair, huh?"

Many of these people I hadn't seen in 20 years, and it was fun, yet odd, to spend some time with them again. I've kept in touch with my close high school friends, but the others had fallen by the wayside. Overwhelmingly, the comment I heard the entire night was about the hair on my head. I think that's kinda weird. We all age in different ways, and some guys lose their hair! Many of them gain a "hotness" they never had before as their head hair disappears.

I happen to think that some of the hottest guys in the media (and in the real everyday world) have severely receding hairlines, or have gone completely bald. Yet, I'm glad nature hasn't done that for me....... as a kid, I was a dare-devil, and I feel certain that the many concussions I suffered growing up from various crazy stunts have left me with a really strange-shaped skull/head. I imagine it being mis-shapen and full of dents.

I have a very full head of hair. In fact, when I get my hair cut by the woman who has cut it for years, she loves to give me hell during the haircut and tell me that ANY of her clients (male or female) would kill for my head of hair. WHATEVER. I like hairy bodies on a guy, but it doesn't matter to me whether he has a crop of hair on his head or not! It makes me sad to see these guys lamenting their baldness (Hair Club, etc.) when I think they're hot as hell as they are.

OK, end of today's rant. Hope ya all have a great week ahead----- hair or no hair! XOXO

  • i used the same barber for 35 years and one day he left me speechless when he said, "well, at least you still have all of your hair" (at least? WHAT???).
i think everyone is dissatisfied with their hair, no matter. for the last ten years or so, i've just been using a drugstore clipper and cropping it down as close to the scalp as possible so that i don't even have to deal with it. in the course of a life i've gone from waist length in the 60's to my current desire to shave my head so i won't have to think about it. the only common theme in all of those years has been that i wasn't happy with it, no matter the length.
