Political Party or Cult?

I am amazed at the lack of outrage over this latest outrageous comment by President Trump. I have been willing to try and understand why people support him but I have reached the end of that attempt with this latest comment. Speaking before a crowd of his followers he says that by not standing and clapping for him at the Sate of the Union address the Democrats are traitors! While doing this supporters laughed at this outrageous comment. So I am left to wonder is this now a cult like so many we have seen in the past or a viable political party? I see a charismatic leader that says he has all the answers, believes he is being persecuted, lies and distorts facts and demands loyalty to him above all else. His followers enable, excuse and exhort him time and time gain. He and his followers blame others for his and their misfortunes. We have seen this movie before. We had McCarthy, L Ron Hubbard, Reverend Moon, Jim Jones and David Karesch. What has history shown us? That all of them eventually fail and their followers are left devastated and in many cases dead. Now the President is demanding a military parade in Washington DC. Have we not seen this move as well in the Soviet Union and North Korea? What happened to the Republican Party? What happened for being for law and order and worrying about the debt? They were all excited to get Gorsuch as a Supreme Court Justice but now believe the FBI and the Justice Department is conspiring against the President? So I ask is this now a cult or a political party?

  • The Republican Party and Fox News have so brainwashed their followers that our entire political system is at risk.

  • The problem as I see it is that the USA is worse than that which we can see on the news outlets and hear from Republicans and their sympathizers. They want us to ‘wait and see’ as they use that waiting time to bleed the true majority dry so in the ever weakening state we have debilitative power.

We live in a distracting intertwined mass of details where just trying to survive through the required improvisation of life is the mainstay of our day to day. Like the ‘forest through the trees’ that daily dance pressures us to loose perspective of the larger picture around us. If we either in flesh or in figment were to leave that ‘forest of who we were as a country’ and look back at it we could clearly see that forest has been ravaged and is now unnaturally shriveling away. All that is left are the columns of distressed wood just waiting for insects and vermin to inhabit them. It is no longer even a question as to whether the now single club-owned three branches of government, our checks and balances, have so quickly deflowered the once living woods that we arrogantly called America, as if we were the entire Western hemisphere.

It is the once bright shell of our imperiousness that we can no longer flaunt to the world as having any more value than an unmanaged bitcoin. That thin covering of hubris has started to show signs of the maturating infectious rot inside and the unmistakable sulphureous stench indicates it’s worthlessness. It has been decided by the judiciary that corporations are people… and those enormous constructions of pulp and power have been fleeing our borders sailing to find fertile soil elsewhere, like rats from our sinking ship of state. Soon even those who control the ‘American Corporations’ will move beyond our boundary to escape that stink of their own making.

Though no longer flourishing except in the over-valued stock market the physical remains of the forest are still here and if this continues it will be we who are destined to be the insects and vermin who will inhabit the decomposing structures once so strong, tall, and growing ever fuller. You see, we, the not so super affluent individuals and the not stock owned businesses have nowhere to go. The skeletal remains of our Eden will no longer be able to feed and therefore survival will depend upon who can consume who and how successfully we can justify it.

The alternative is mass social restructuring because ‘We the Living, Corporeal Citizens of Flesh and Blood,’ have no choice but to remain. The sanctioned custom built Mega Corporate Citizens of paper and profiteering will always cry foul while they starve out our onetime fruitful groves of country. We the living and breathing must seek out any possible seeds to regenerate. We will need to cut out the dead wood of greed held by the few while reestablishing the natural order even though that too often is the erratic growth of the many. It is way past the time when we must fairly distribute and manage the structures needed for our country’s sustenance and reasonable growth. We would have to turn our current agribusiness of a country back to manageable family farms of states.

Is this really our ‘actual living Democracy’ set up by the founders? Yes, and most especially when it is compared to our current ‘actual predatory plutocracy’ which only hides behind the historic lowercase word, democracy to which it has has only a minimal relationship. Our almost two and a half century Democracy needs to again have a revolution as it did at the beginning. It needs to be refreshed by actual people to control the government not the judiciary set ‘factory built humanoids’ who promise to give back while they continue to take more… and so many of these are no longer even built on our shores.

  • really it was an in appropriate joke. but if youll remember correctly while obama was president he said some of the same. many Democrats and news outlets as well. the word treason is thrown around very casually nowadays. should he have said it? of course not. is it a big deal? no it really isnt.

as far as the military parade goes you should try listening to just a few conservative viewpoints on the matter outside of fox news. most of us HATE the idea of a parade of this kind, its not what this country is about. it would also be a terrible idea politically as most conservatives would vote against the people who stand behind something like this.

like it or not the FBI was politicized by obama. and thanks to comey everything was made much worse and now its hard to trust the FBI is not politically motivated. the FBI has a lot of work to do if it ever wants the American people to trust it like they once did. this doesn't mean that it is a lost cause or wholly corrupt, but it looks shady.
