I thought this was a really neat idea. I've had doctors in the past I wasn't comfortable with asking questions, and would switch to someone gay friendly.

  • Interesting article.Personally I have not had an issue finding LGBTQ friendly doctors. However I'm sure that the problem does exist and truly believe that you should be completely comfortable with any heath care professional. If you are not, for any reason, you should find another provider. Referrals from friends have always been helpful.
BUT there is absolutely no downside for an app to find LGBTQ friendly healthcare providers. They should also be highly ranked in their field and just because they are gay friendly doesn't mean one should assume that they are the best in their field.
The biggest issue is taking care of your health care needs by someone that you feel you are comfortable with an can best address the issues.
